Recently Katrina launched the Nakshatra Vivaah collection which is the extension of Nakshatra, the leading brand in diamond jewelry. The actor was accompanied by Mehul Choksi, CMD Gitanjali Group at the launch, where Nakshatra’s new advertising campaign was also launched.

This unique collection based on ancient Indian texts where diamond is referred as Vajra, the weapon of Indian deity Indra. It is supposed to offer protection from fire, poison and evil spirits. It also draws inspiration from astronomy of Indian mythology ‘Saptharishi mandalam.’ The sevens tone diamond floral formation of the vivaah collection is based on the sacred geometry of this constellation. This is supposed to draw divine luck to the wearer.

Mr. Choksi said that today’s Indian bride wants to be modern and traditional at the same time. Each piece has contemporary look and it is also based on the seven stone floral clusters which is considered by Indian mythology as a symbol of divine luck.
